Black Eagles

The black eagle is a preying bird, easily identifiable by its long, splayed fingers which are used to hunt and capture mammals, other birds, and eggs. They are usually found in Southeast Asia as well as in southeastern China. Black eagles have a yellow bill base and legs that contrast with their dark-colored feathers. This majestic bird eats mammals such as squirrels and bats, as well as small birds. Black eagles are known for taking slow flights and have been described by the Lepcha people in India as the bird that never sits down. They are also known for their keen eyesight, allowing them to spot their prey at great distances.
