Moana was an instant hit with audiences, just like all the newer Disney movies that have replaced the outdated “helpless princess trope” with strong, funny, and complex female leads.
We love Moana’s curiosity, bravery, and of course singing talent! But what’s up with her footprints?
In the scene where baby Moana is lured out by the ocean, her footprints in the sand disappear at random, without waves washing them away. Not a massive mistake, sure. But definitely noticeable.
