A Hymn For The Future

During a scene that takes place on Sunday Morning, the people in the church are singing the most beautiful song – a Navy Hymn called Eternal Father. In the verse they are singing, it says, “Save all who dare the eagle’s flight, And keep them by thy watchful care; From every peril in the air.”

This verse talks about protecting those in the Air Force, but while the Wright brothers flew their first plane before the Titanic disaster, this verse didn’t even exist until 1937. The first American aviation unit, in fact, was only deployed in 1913, one year after the Titanic’s sinking.
