The Next Day
The following day, as Oliver awakened, his immediate concern was to inspect the newly added water lilies and the Koi fish. To his dismay, he discovered that a significant number of the lilies had vanished. Only a scant few remained, and they had just begun to bloom, signaling their recent arrival.
Oliver had been eagerly looking forward to showcasing the fruits of his labor in the pond to his wife. However, this excitement would have to be postponed. Unfortunately, it wasn’t solely the water lilies that had vanished entirely; other elements were missing as well.
