Malaysian Flight 17
In 2014, Malaysia Airlines flight 17 was shot down on its way from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. The guy in this picture, Gary Slok, and his mother Petra, took this picture on their way to what they thought would be a relaxing vacation.
But sadly, it ended in tragedy when a missile took down the airplane on its way to its destination, taking the lives of everyone who was on the plane; a total of 296 people died in that tragedy.
