Using Instagram To Save Lives
After learning that their father Kevin had been diagnosed with leukemia and lymphoma, and needed to find a bone marrow donor, the twins knew they wanted to help others like him find a donor. (Thankfully, Kevin’s brother was found to be a match.) Using their Instagram account as their platform, Ava and Leah partnered with DKMS to raise awareness on how easy it is to get tested and to see if you’re a match to be a donor for someone in need. The twins hope their effort can help save lives, just like their dad.
