Even though this is a perfectly natural phenomenon, it is quite creepy to see all the red among the white.
These are the famous Blood Falls and the red that you see in the picture is caused by the presence of the microbe lake which was sealed off by the glacier; this in turn caused a high concentration of iron and salt to leak out.
