Fort Laramie, Wyoming
This was a private fur trading fort in 1834 but it later evolved into the largest military post on the Northern Plains.
However, it was abandoned in 1890 and several ghosts are said to haunt the base. The Lady in Green is the most notable one, who is said to appear every seven years on the nearby Oregon Trail, dressed in green and riding a black stallion.
