As one of the best-known personalities in the TV news business, Katie Couric has a long history of impressive success as a broadcast journalist. But while she exceeds in her professional career, she apparently is said to lack manners and kindness in her social life.
Veteran journalist Sheila Weller exposed what she characterized as Couric’s judgmental and malicious nature in her book The News Sorority. Weller said Couric terrorized former Today show news anchor Ann Curry by criticizing her clothing right before going on air in a bid to throw her off balance.
What’s more, Couric’s bullying ways led her to cruelly insult her coworkers, so much so that an NBC producer said no one wanted Couric to come back.
