Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., or Lil Wayne, was first arrested in July 2007 for gun possession. Wayne initially pleaded not guilty but changed his plea to guilty in October in exchange for a reduced sentence. The rapper spent eight months of a one-year term in Rikers Island prison in New York City.
