Based on the idea from a George Orwell book, that someone is always watching, Big Brother has been embraced as a popular reality TV show by fans for years. Contestants appear as house guests who compete through challenges to win a $500,000 prize. They are constantly under video surveillance to give the impression that viewers are casually watching them live their lives together as they fight it out to take home the win.
