Gabrielle Chasnel, known as “Coco Chanel”, is a fashion designer, milliner and great French seamstress, born August 19, 1883, in Saumur and died January 10, 1971, at the Ritz hotel in Paris.

Coco Chanel is one of the most famous names in the fashion world, and while she may not be around anymore, her legacy will stay with us for the rest of the time. After growing up as an orphan, Coco realized that she needed to be independent and resilient to achieve what she wanted in life and that she didn’t need to rely on a man to be happy. For this reason, she never married. In fact, it has been reported that she was the mistress of very important men in business.
