Steven Spielberg’s ‘Jaws’ has a lot to answer for when it comes to fear and pandemonium at the beach, as Twitter user Emily discovered when she spotted what looked like a shark fin in the water.
The chance of being attacked by a shark is only slightly more likely than 1 in 4 million, and lifeguards have enough to worry about without fielding cries of false shark attacks, but this kind of thing happens several times a week!
