The folks in Drakes Beach, California, had a shock last December when their beautiful coastline was full of these weird and wonderful creatures. It’s thought that a powerful storm washed away their sandy homes, leaving them bare for all to see.

Food for seals, sharks, and seagulls, these fat innkeeper worms, known as ‘penis fish’, has a closely related cousin that is a delicacy in South Korea and Japan. Each to their own, but they look pretty difficult to consume!
