Cover Your Mouth When You Laugh
Historically speaking, laughter was not seen as a particularly feminine trait in Korea. In fact, everything that made you the center of attention in traditional Korean culture was seen as unfeminine.
Any viewer of a K-pop video can attest to the fact that this is no longer the case, although covering one’s mouth in laughter remains a cultural norm in modern Korea. Women are notorious for not letting their genuine grins show.
