Hercules and Ariel Are Cousins
Here’s another little sprinkling of Greek mythology. After all, it’s what some of these stories are based on. So, we know that Ariel from The Little Mermaid is the daughter of King Triton. Well, according to Greek mythology, Triton is the son of Poseidon — God of the Sea. And, if you know your Greek gods, you’ll know that Poseidon’s brother is none other than Zeus, Hercules’ father. And that, our friends, makes Ariel and Hercules cousins. Hey, they can both sing!
