Andy’s Mom Was Jessie’s Owner
We all collectively wept when Jessie from Toy Story 2 was chucked in the donation bin by her owner, Emily. Interestingly, some fans think that Andy’s mom is actually Emily, which is why Andy has so many vintage toys. In the first movie, Andy wears a Jessie-style hat, rather than a Woody one — perhaps he got the hat from his mom. Plus, when we see Emily’s childhood bedroom during “When She Loved Me,” it’s decorated in 1960s style, making the timeline fit.
