Scar Didn’t Ruin the Pride Lands
A central part of the plot in The Lion King is that Scar and the hyenas ruin the Pride Lands through overhunting and reckless leadership. However, this theory posits that what we see is just the regular passing of time. Did nobody teach these lions about seasons? The movie begins in the fertile spring and then goes into a dry summer on the African savannah (normal). Then, when Simba returns, it’s monsoon season and the Pride Lands are back to normal. It’s the circle of life!
