Aladdin Is a Tall Tale
So, we’ve established that 1992’s Aladdin could take place in some sort of post-apocalyptic future, but what if the whole thing is just a story? Of course, Aladdin the Disney movie is a story that is itself based on a Middle Eastern folk tale. But anyway, back to the one with the pet tiger. This theory proposes that the lamp salesman at the beginning of Aladdin makes up the whole saga just to get a sale. It’s less exciting, but certainly possible.
