The Lamp Salesman Is the Genie
The theory that the lamp salesman at the beginning of Aladdin makes the whole plot of the movie a little bit anti-climactic. However, what if we told you that the lamp salesman is actually the Genie? That’s a little bit more interesting, right? Both characters have similar physical characteristics and share the same voice. Amazingly, co-director Ron Clements admitted that they originally intended to reveal that the salesman is the Genie. However, it was lost in editing.
