Vultures

via

Vultures are considered scavengers. There are presently two types of this bird: New World vultures and the Old World vultures. They have a characteristic bald head and can commonly be seen feeding on the carcasses of dead animals. While they are considered dangerous, vultures rarely bother with humans. They also play an important role in keeping the ecosystem in check, helping clean up the environment and preventing disease from spreading. At present, half of the vulture species are already at risk for extinction.
