Gray Wolves

Well-developed senses, powerful jaws, and huge canine teeth – these are just some of the features that make the gray wolf an impressive, yet dangerous creature. Found commonly found in North America and Eurasia, these majestic animals are also known as timber wolves, and are the largest member of the wild dog family. Gray wolves are very social animals, usually found travelling in a pack consisting of their mate and children. A hierarchy of dominance is set in the pack with the alpha male and alpha female taking charge of the group. Wolves have always been perceived as a threat, not only to livestock but to humans as well.
