The Great Wall Of China

Mulan is so far the only Disney movie set in China, and it’s a truly epic adventure. But as much as it made sense to include the most famous Chinese landmark, the Great Wall, it is actually factually incorrect.

Mulan takes place at an unspecified time, but sometime between the Han Dynasty and the Sui Dynasty. At this time in history only small parts of the wall had been built.

It was not the finished 13,170.70 miles long Great Wall we know, nor used as a defense, until the early 1300s.
