One Bloody Punch

It was a real struggle to make fighting and action sequences appear real back in the ’90s, so when we watch old movies today we cringe at how terribly they did it. In Titanic, for example, there’s a scene where Rose clocks a crewman who’s trying to pull her to safety. In her defense, she was trying to tell him someone is trapped and he just kept saying “It’s okay. It’s alright” and dragging her away.

After she punches him, we see there’s blood on his hands (but none on his face), and then when he “wipes” his face using his bloody hand, the blood rubs off on his face, making it appear as if he was bleeding. Nice try, but not very realistic.
