Kate Winslet not only almost drowned during the filming of Titanic, she also got hypothermia – and we can understand why. While other cast members wore a suit that’s meant to isolate them from the icy waters, James Cameron insisted that Winslet didn’t, as it would’ve looked too bulky and unrealistic.
The paper-thin dress Rose wears wouldn’t have been enough to preserve her body warmth, and in reality – she probably wouldn’t have even made it onto that door.
