Wooden Telephone Box?
This find came from Corbridge, UK. That’s where the item was purchased, at least. Interestingly, the seller had no luck identifying the item before this Reddit user purchased it. They noted that it reminded them of a telephone but that wasn’t the case.
Reddit users were quick to let this person know that they had found an old tinder box. The hollow part in the wood was likely to store items you’d need to start a fire in case of an emergency or for a fireplace.
