There are a few places where it’s alarming to find something you have trouble identifying easily. For one, a car that doesn’t have GPS with a device reading “GPS” on the front. The internet describes it as a tracker. The bigger question of why it’s there might be upsetting.

The device was likely installed by the dealer. It would likely be found useful if the person fell behind on car payments or if the dealer wanted to advertise an anti-theft device.
