Numerous nations are beset by impoverished rural areas. Typically, this implies that children are compelled to start working at a tender age to procure the necessary food, money, and water for survival. This circumstance is not unique to North Korea.
Despite the stark rural poverty prevalent in North Korea, the nation’s officials prefer to keep outsiders in the dark about its true extent. In order to prevent tourists from capturing photographs that depict the harsh everyday realities, they have placed a ban on such activities. Regrettably, this prohibition does not ameliorate the plight of those struggling with the countryside’s difficult living conditions.
