The Court Case
In the 1990s, a lawyer, Jonathan Turley, was approached by workers from Area 51 who claimed that they were getting sick because of exposure to the site’s hazardous materials. The government refused to declassify information about the toxic material, which meant that workers didn’t know what they had been exposed to, and therefore they couldn’t get appropriate medical care.
