The Pirates – Reality
Believe it or not, in reality, pirates are nothing like Jack Sparrow. Pirates do exist in real life, even today (although it’s not as common as it used to be), but pirate life isn’t as glamorous as the movies make it out to be.
They don’t own a ship, certainly not a big one, they don’t own a cool parrot, and they don’t go off on exhilarating adventures after lost treasures. In real life, pirates are people looking for ships to rob. Perhaps one of the many reasons why pirating isn’t as common these days as it was a few decades ago is because of its many dangers.
