The Hot Tub – Expectations
When looking at cruise ship pamphlets, what captures us most of all is the pool area and the luxurious hot tubs. There’s always a picture of a couple enjoying a relaxing, romantic evening inside the hot tub, or a group of friends enjoying their time (privately) in the big, welcoming hot tub, with the vast ocean behind them.
We imagine relaxing in the hot tub by ourselves, with a good book in one hand and a cocktail in the other, and, of course, we want to take the perfect picture to put on social media and make our friends envious. However, the perfect picture doesn’t include us sitting in a lukewarm hot tub with a group of strangers.
