Waris Dirie was discovered by a photographer in her early twenties and since then, her career as a model has taken off, and she has worked with some of the top brands in the industry in addition to walking in the most prestigious shows. She has written an autobiography about her life in her homeland which soon became a bestseller. She has also acted in various films and has been part of many social activism ventures in her home country.
