The Little Mermaid (1989)
Speaking of “The Little Mermaid,” here’s one scene in the 1989 movie showing Ariel completely naked after her mermaid tail is turned into human legs. While this might have seemed totally normal back then – well, not really – it’s one scene that would definitely not make it past production in any new animated film for sure.
Even though Ariel’s hair is drawn in just the right places, the fact that she’s still frolicking completely naked on the beach is probably too much for most people’s conservative sensibilities since it is a children’s film. But that doesn’t mean that people don’t stop to rewatch it anyway.
