Salvador Sanchez
Salvador Sanchez died in a tragic automobile accident in 1982, but if this had not been the case, there are many people who believe that he could have become the greatest featherweight fighter of all time. He held the record for 32 knockouts during his career.
While his career was short-lived, Sanchez compiled wins over high-level opposition, including Danny “Little Red” Lopez (twice), Ruben Castillo, Juan Laporte, Wilfredo Gomez and Azumah Nelson.
We never had the chance to see him reach the peak of his career and become the fighter that he was supposed to be.
