Ted “Kid” Lewis

Ted “Kid” Lewis was active between 1909-1929 and during these 20 years, he had 79 knockouts to his name. If anyone knows a thing or two about boxing, it’s the late boxing historian Bert Sugar. And he ranks Ted “Kid” Lewis far higher, 33rd best of all time, than many of the others.

Lewis won the World Welterweight Championship on several occasions and is perhaps best known for his 20-fight series with the man he continually traded the belt with, Jack Britton.
