Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes Of TLC Burned Her Boyfriend’s House Down
As a member of the girl group TLC, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes rose to fame on the strength of chart-topping hits like “Waterfalls,” “No Scrubs,” and “Unpretty.” Rison and Lopes’ relationship was known to be tempestuous. One night in 1994, when Rison opted to go out with his friends and leave her at home by herself, she dumped several pairs of his new shoes in a bathtub, doused them with lighter fluid, and tossed in a match. The fiberglass tub melted, and her plan to destroy his shoes ended up burning down his entire house. Lopes was convicted of first-degree arson.
