Based on a true story, Samuel L. Jackson starred in Coach Carter as the tough-as-nails basketball coach for the Richmond High School varsity basketball team. However, Carter puts academics ahead of athletics.
He even went so far as canceling the team’s big game because of his players’ poor grades. When the rest of the school finds out, they respond with the teenage fury you’d imagine… except for one guy.
