It’s All About Perspective

It seems as though the Cinderella castle isn’t the only thing in Disney World that uses a false perspective to induce some extra magic. If you have ever made your way to Fantasyland, you may have seen one of the most famous attractions of them all – the Cinderella statue.

What’s so incredible about this statue is the fact that it was purposefully designed to look different from different perspectives. To be more specific, Walt Disney wanted the statue to be viewed upon differently by children and adults.

To the adults of the world, this princess looks sad as she looks down at the animals below her. To the smaller children of the world, the placement of her hair looks just like a child. This invites people to embrace their innocence and their childishness as they walk through the park.
