Main Street USA is one of the most iconic aspects of Disneyland, and it’s the place where many guests feel the biggest connection to Walt Disney himself. After all, we all know that Mr. Disney based this street on his old hometown, but there are also a few other touches to bring us closer to the iconic animator.
That’s because the windows of Main Street aren’t just any old windows. Many of these windows are actually dedicated to the people who had an impact on Walt’s life, and they appear within whimsical shop names and businesses.
Walt dedicated a window to himself as part of the Disneyland Casting Agency, he dedicated a window to his father, Elias Disney, and various other people who were in his life. Window dedications have been given out to people since Walt’s passing, but they have to pass three requirements before their window becomes a reality.
