His portrayal of Jesse James and Zach Crandell in Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter Is Dead made him quite famous. Just like many Hollywood stars, Pettiet had succumbed to the underground life with his drug addiction problems. His life ended after a drug overdose in 2004.
