Amazingly, Jaws was the very first movie to ever gross ‘over $100 million at the box office.’ Not only was this 1975 movie one of Spielberg’s very first blockbuster hits, but it’s the reason why tons of people still look around gingerly while treading water as they swim in the ocean. Spielberg might look incredibly relaxed sitting in the jaws of his supposed megalodon, but this fake great white shark, he lovingly named Bruce after his lawyer, was going to be the real hero since his career literally took off after this movie hit.
