Joan Jett
While there are a ton of male rock stars that we can choose from to fill the airwaves with their electric guitars and fabulous voices, Joan Jett managed to be one of the only female ones to make a name for herself. Jett was a founding member of the 70s band The Runaways, which also happened to be an all-female band of course. Not only did they travel the world to sing at sold out concert venues, but even after the band broke up, Jett became the most famous one of the bunch.
