Cheryl Tiegs
Many will argue about who they think was the very first supermodel but most will tell you that the person that deserves this title is Cheryl Tiegs. Her “pink bikini” photo from Sports Illustrated back in 1978 totally put her on the map and her career just soared from there. As seen in this particular photo, she was asked to pose for tons of swimsuit shoots, many of which landed her either on the cover or inside the Swimsuit Edition of the popular sports magazine, amongst others.
