How to Soften a Frozen Car Key Whole

via

Deep in the winter, one of the downsides of owning a car especially when parked outside, is a frozen car lock. Inserting a key in a frozen car keyhole is impossible. To melt the ice, get a hand sanitiser (there’s so much around these days), put a few drops on the hole, and ensure it gets into the hole.

Alternatively, put some on the key and use it to apply the gel. The alcohol present in the hand sanitiser hastens the melting of the ice. After a few more drops and waiting for some minutes, the lock becomes accessible.
