Your fingernails go over the fingertip
Maybe the most bizarre symptom that could be caused by a serious medical issue is nail clubbing, where the fingertips become strangely enlarged and the fingernails begin growing over the top of the finger. This problem is caused by low oxygen in the blood, and so can serve as an early warning sign of lung disease.
