Volunteers Were Like a Blessing
Raising a child takes a lot of effort and time, and in the case of the McCaugheys, who had eight children, it was even more challenging. Therefore, volunteers stepped in to assist the family.
The task of raising eight children required a significant amount of effort and time, so volunteers came forward to assist the McCaughey family. Although around seventy volunteers would have been necessary to manage the daily tasks around the house, eight or nine people were providing help by changing diapers, feeding the babies, and ensuring that they received proper care.
