One Exception
The McCaugheys were determined not to have a reality TV show based on their lives, and thus, they did not allow cameras in their house. However, there were a few occasions when the children were featured on TV or in the press, and one exception was on their birthday celebrations.
On their 13th birthday, the McCaughey parents made an exception and allowed Ann Curry from the Today Show to visit and film the children. Although they didn’t want cameras in their house, they wanted to capture this special moment. Each child had their own cake with 13 candles on it.
