The McCaugheys made a conscious decision to shield their children from the media and public attention as much as possible.
In 2001, the McCaugheys made an agreement with Gamma Press to document their children’s growth by taking an annual photograph on their birthdays. This allowed the family to keep their children away from the media and have a collection of cherished memories.
