It was the morning of September 1978, and Pacific Southwest Airlines flight 182 was making its way from Sacramento to San Diego. Disaster struck as the plane collided with a private Cessna 172 light plane, causing it to dive to the ground.

The plane crashed, claiming the lives of 137 passengers. It also destroyed as many as 22 houses on impact, resulting in the deaths of seven people on the ground.
