A Televised Suicide
Budd Dwyer was the Treasurer of Pennsylvania back in the ’80s, and in 1987 he did the unthinkable. He went on live television, and to everyone’s horror, pulled out a weapon. He wasn’t intending on hurting anyone, except himself.
The media workers and journalists present had to watch as Dwyer took his own life on live television. This photo was taken moments before this horrible tragedy occurred.
